joy + sean | married in bainbridge island | bainbridge island wedding photographers

This was one of my all time favourite weddings to date. Joy + Sean were such an honor to photograph. Their lovely families took me in as one of their own, making it so much easier to capture intimate, tender moments. Witnessing the love these two have not only for each other, but for those surrounding them was truly inspiring.

As I sit here, watching the rain pour down outside my kitchen window, I am so thankful that our wedding season is over, and that fall in upon us. This summer was wonderful, full of incredible, inspiring couples, and we've never had a busier year, but both my body and mind are definitely ready for a few quiet months. We photographed our last wedding on Saturday, a lovely affair at Lake Union Cafe (stay tuned for a preview), and there was a definite sigh of relief at the end of the night. Never before have I experienced work both so rewarding and exhausting at the same time. That being said, I can't wait for a busy busy 2015!

For this rainy Wednesday afternoon, I'm thrilled to share with you a bit of a preview of Erin + Clay's gorgeous wedding at Red Cedar Farm. Erin and Clay are a couple that fit perfectly together. Everything from the way they look at each other to the way he makes her laugh, not to mention the way they simply are together. No fuss, no frills, they just exist, soaking up each other's love. It is something beautiful to behold.

jamie + kurodo :: november 24, 2012 | bainbridge island wedding photographer

Two and a half years.Thirty months. Nine hundred and twelve days. 21,888 hours. 1,313,280 minutes. 78,796,800 seconds.

This is the time that they spent apart, how long they waited for this day.

She lived in San Diego. He lived in Hong Kong. (That's 7,344 miles apart). They met at school, but only started dating days before graduation. They decided to try long distance, because what they had together was worth it.

What an incredible commitment these two made to each other back in 2010, and on November 24, 2012, in La Jolla, CA, a small group of friends and family were honored to witness Jamie and Kurodo solidify this commitment. I was truly honored when Jamie asked me to document their day... here are a few highlights!
