phoenix engagment session

Photographing a sunrise session has been on my career bucket list for quite some time. So, when I was planning our trip down to Phoenix, and an opportunity to photograph a few lovely couples came up, this just made sense. Plus, a session on New Year's Day... how cool is that?

So, instead of nursing a hangover with the rest of the world, I racked out of bed early on January 1, and trekked out to meet the beautiful Trisha and Jake for a little sunrise gorgeousness.

What an honor it was to capture their strong, quiet love.

If you're interested in a sunrise session (or any session), let me know. Now that I have a taste for them, I just want more, more more!

Oh, where to start with these two. Jess + Gable celebrated their 9 year anniversary just a few days before this session.

Would you believe it? They look like two school kids in love. They act, however, like two souls who know each other deeply, and love each other limitlessly.

That, my friends, is the kind of love that makes the world go round.

Happy New Year from Phoenix!

I'm not one for resolutions, more of a fan of day-to-day effort. This year, in place of making a resolution (or five), I decided to act.

So, while the rest of the world was sleeping off their NYE hangovers, Trisha, Jake and I trekked out to Papago Park in Tempe and watched the sunrise. A pretty amazing way to start the year, if you ask me.

T + J, thank you for being such good sports, and braving the cold dawn for some incredible photos.
